Explore the enchanting underwater world of the Andaman Islands with the unique and exhilarating experience of Sea Walking. This activity, which was the first of its kind to launch in India, allows you to walk on the seabed, providing a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Key Highlights:

Location: The first Sea Walk was introduced at North Bay Island, offering a natural aquarium with diverse fish species and an amazing seabed. The coral reef selected at North Bay Island is among the best, creating an ideal spot for this underwater adventure. Trained staff and certified experienced guides ensure your safety and comfort throughout the activity.

Process: A special helmet with a transparent visor is placed on your head, allowing normal breathing underwater. Lifeguards assist in taking you underwater and accompany you during the walk to ensure maximum safety. As you descend to a depth of about 6-7 meters, you’ll witness the magnificent marine life of the Andaman Islands, including vibrant fauna, coral formations, and a variety of fish—all in their natural habitat. It’s an extraordinary experience akin to walking on the moon.

Safety Measures: Trained divers are always present to guide you, and netted boundaries along the paltoon (anchored boat) at North Bay Island provide added safety and comfort. Sea Walking is considered safe for individuals between the ages of 10 and 50, with certified guides accompanying you in the water to ensure a secure adventure.

Locations for Sea Walking:

North Bay Island: The inaugural Sea Walk destination with a natural aquarium, varied fish species, and an excellent coral reef.

Elephant Beach, Havelock Island: The second Sea Walk location offers an early-starting reef and an exciting boat ride to the site. Trained staff provides instructions on seabed walking, and guides accompany you during the entire experience.

What to Expect:

Sea Walking is akin to an underwater tour inside the reef, allowing you to walk among corals, observe a variety of fish, and discover the rich sea life beneath the crystal-clear blue waters of the lagoon.

Safety Guidelines:

Sea Walking is generally safe for individuals between the ages of 10 and 50.

Trained and certified guides are present in the water to ensure a secure adventure.

Individuals with medical conditions such as Asthma, Heart issues, and pregnancy should avoid Sea Walking. If in doubt, it’s recommended to consult with a doctor before participating in this activity.
